There are many ways Jupiter can be used to manage your clients better. These typically involve adding more boundaries to afford you some privacy or enforcing rules so you are run your business with more peace of mind.

Below is a list of helpful controls you may want to consider to optimize Jupiter's system for your own business:

Accept bookings from approved clients only

You can decide to accept bookings from everyone or only to the clients in your file. If your bookings are only open to current clients, new clients will have to contact you before they can book. This allows you to pre-approve clients before creating the appointment.

We recommend this if you have a home-based business for security purposes. It will also be helpful for mobile businesses to ensure you won't be traveling outside of your service area.

  1. Tap into your Calendar from the agenda tab
  2. Tap on "EDIT AVAILABILITY"
  3. Tap on "SETTINGS"
  4. Under "Who can book", check off "Only clients in my files"

When clients are booking, they will have to login to book by clicking on the "Login" button in the upper-left of your booking website.

Setting a minimum notice or stopping last-minute bookings

Set a minimum notice for scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling to prevent last-minute appointments or cancellations. If you have a minimum 2-day notice, you can set it to 48 hours. Your booking policy will be stated at the bottom of the booking confirmation email for clients to see.

If appointments are cancelled within the minimum notice period, Jupiter will deal with your deposit automatically depending on your deposit settings. Jupiter will not offer appointment slots which fall within your minimum notice period when clients are booking.

  1. Open your Calendar from the agenda tab
  2. Tap on "SET AVAILABILITY"
  3. Tap on "SETTINGS"
  4. Adjust minimum notice to the number of minimum hours
